The Royal College of Music (KMH) in Stockholm underwent an extensive modernization to meet the demands of today’s and tomorrow’s music education. The goal was to create the world’s most modern music academy, an ambition that required both technical innovation and meticulous adaptation to musical needs.

Project Phases

Technical Design Management:
Fidell began its involvement in the project by managing the design of electrical and telecommunication systems. This phase also included detailed planning of Akademiska Hus installations, requiring careful coordination and technical expertise.

Tender Documentation and Procurement:
After the design phase, Fidell handled the preparation of tender documentation and conducted procurements in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU). This ensured that all contracts and deliveries met high standards and were cost-effective.

Installation Management:
During the construction phase, Jonas Enberg from Fidell was responsible for installation management, particularly in areas such as telecommunications systems, music networks, and security systems. His work was essential in ensuring technical functionality in the new facilities.

Tenant Adaptations and Preparation:
After the construction phase was completed, Fidell remained to assist with minor tenant adaptations and to ensure smooth operations in the new building. The assignment was expanded to include the preparation of the so-called 'Yellow Villa,' a historic building that was relocated within the property.
