Campus Albano is an ambitious collaborative project led by Akademiska Hus in partnership with Skanska, with Fidell playing a central role as the design manager. The project involves the development of three new buildings in a strategically significant area of Stockholm. Fidell's responsibilities included overseeing the design of construction documents, requiring intensive coordination among several design managers, all while construction was actively underway. Key stakeholders in the project include Akademiska Hus, Svenska Bostäder, the City of Stockholm, and Trafikverket, underscoring the project’s scale and complexity. The buildings are designed for a mix of uses, including education, research, services, and housing for students and researchers, making Campus Albano a dynamic and multifaceted addition to the city. The tenants of the new university facilities include prominent institutions like Stockholm University and the Royal Institute of Technology, emphasizing the area’s academic focus. The project is expected not only to enhance conditions for education and research but also to contribute to the city’s development.
